The Light Train is mostly empty, apart from a man sitting at the other end of the cart. He looked away from the window and met her eyes. At once she knew.
The train sways ever so slightly as the train loses speed and both her and the man stand up to wait by the exit. She peers up at him again.
He raises his eyebrows and looks back at her. "What are you looking at, kid?" He says in Japanese, and somehow she understands.
